Musings about the world around me, the world I create in my mind, and the world I am escaping to in a game.

Post your favorite bands to share with everyone in the Stardock and Impulse community! I am always up for checking out new music, so it would be cool if everyone would post some songs or vids by their favorite bands or musicians for all to hear. This is the youtube edition, so youtube is preferred for easy quick listening enjoyment!

Haha, some good shit man. Exodus kicks ass. I'm always up for some Thrash. I'm a big Testament fan, check em out. This isn't one of their thrashiest numbers, but it's one of my favorite "songs" by them... beginning is a little slow but it picks up fucking brutal as you proceed. \m/

Ewww,

forgot to mention Testament! That's one of my favourite songs too!   for your good taste of music!

listening to Thrash Metal only would be boring, i really like Swing and Neo-Swing too

too bad there's kinda NO music from "The Atomic Fireballs" on youtube... thats the only piece i found thats actually in a decent quality of my favourite song of this band:

Awesome. I have a fairly broad range of musical taste, I don't really dislike any genre in particular.  Thanks for karma 1+ for you too!

Haha, nice vid. Pretty funny. Runescape. I love swing as well, great stuff.

The stuff I like isn't really on youtube in any official form, so rather than posting a bunch of crappy user vids that use the songs, I'll just link to Grooveshark (which is better than youtube anyway ). Just click the link and it'll play.

I split my music up by mood, more or less. When I need to stay awake or in the mood for something upbeat, I've been listening to a lot of new age stuff.. Delerium and Sleepthief are good examples:

Delerium - After All
Delerium - Truly

Sleepthief - The Metro
Sleepthief - Just Say It

Then there's when I'm in the mood for something a bit calming and I happen to *love* piano, so I like Vienna Teng. Her first CD anyway.

Vienna Teng - Eric's Song
Vienna Teng - Say Uncle

Then there's some stuff sort of inbetween. I like Jem, she's sort of pop but it's not the standard US flavor (she's European) so it's actually good.

Jem - 24

I should probably stop here for now

OMG I love Delerium.

Another one of my favorites of theirs is Silence, since they got Sarah McLachlan ( ) in it.

Silence is great but I think I like Angelicus better. The beat and groove is just mezmerizing.. and the voice, incredibly stunning. You should check out Amtheystium if you like Delerium.

http://www.myspace.com/amethystium Amazing stuff.

Okay, here some crazy shit. Turn off your lights, turn up your speakers and close your eyes. Don't look at the crappy video just listen to the music. What do you see in your mind while listening to this?

You should check out Amtheystium

Already know 'em! Ad Astra, Into the Twilight, Imaginatio. Good stuff

on May 11, 2009

Oh, since you like Amethystium you'd probably also like E.S. Posthumus.

Nara
Cuzco

And yes, the Spiderman (first movie) music is from them too..

Pompeii

Edit: Those are actually links, they barely stand out on the white background

Awesome. I don't know anyone who's even heard of amethystium before. Those are great too, for sure.

Yeah, I'm used to that Pandora.com is great for finding new music, though. You put in a song name or artist name, and it'll build a station for you with similar music. That's pretty much how I found most of the music I like now (Amethystium included ) since these never get any media attention.
