Watch the whole thing! The beginning is a little boring but gets very exciting toward the end. Post your thoughts and opinions and discuss where you think the information technology is headed.

My personal opinions: This thing will succeed, but will be a niche product. Being able to call up any relevant information you need using your hands, and projecting that information ANYWHERE, definitely has some potential. However, the potential for abuse his huge. I can just imagine people standing...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_optical_data_storage

In a nutshell, Terabyte-level storage on an optical disk the size of a DVD or Blu-Ray. Holy $hI%! Even if this doesn't come out in 2010, this is some impressive technology that could really shake up how we store our data. More than likely this will be for large corporations and tech-hobbyists, but still. Amazing.

Post your favorite bands to share with everyone in the Stardock and Impulse community! I am always up for checking out new music, so it would be cool if everyone would post some songs or vids by their favorite bands or musicians for all to hear. This is the youtube edition, so youtube is preferred for easy quick listening enjoyment!

When, and if we ever discover life outside of Earth it is going to be extremely monumental. It will be a turning point in human history, thinking, and most definitely religion. At the moment we have not discovered life outside yet obviously, and has anyone ever thought about the wake up call this is going to bring when we do?

Think about it... whether we find intelligent alien life, or microsopic bacterial, all the worlds religion and faith in those old religions will be questioned. This...

http://www.topnewsblog.info/tblog_11304.htm I put the Img right here for your viewing pleasure, but if you don't want to have to keep moving the sliders, just click the link. I can't believe how freaking small we are. All the petty things we have in the world, the wars, myspace, celebrities, our history, all of that... it is absolutely nothing compared to what is out there in space. After looking at this, how can thee NOT be any other races out there? Seriously...

Okay. I gotta say, a lot of people took my previous blog "Science and God (one and the same?) quite the wrong way. I suppose part of it is my fault, I wrote it when I was very tired and hadn't developed my thoughts clearly enough. So, first off, I wanna say... that the blog title was very misleading and it seems a lot of people were basing their responses based off the title alone.

Anyway, to clear up the confusion, it was just a speculative post based off a sci-fi book I had read. Some parts...

Has it ever occured to anyone that, over the course of history, humans often come to the conclusion that anything that cannot be explained at the moment is automatically considered to be supernatural? For example, the Greeks. They had a god for just about anything that they could not explain with their means of science or technology at the time. How else could they explain the torrent of fire and molten lava that spwes out of a volcano? By claiming that Hephasteus is simply working in his forge ...

Looking back lately.. at my life of gaming and the state of the gaming industry today... I can safely say that console gaming (and in SOME aspects, PC gaming) is on a narrow-minded road to oblivion.

Why? Because gaming is beginning to become the next hollywood. People glamorize and hype the latest games coming out based on mis-information and propaganda. Video games themselves are becoming celebrity icons that people worship and admire, not for the actual game itself, but because of the ...

Hello folks.

This would be my first post here on impulse, and I must say, I am liking the community features available on Impulse. It's much more fleshed out and fuller than Steams.

Generally, I don't normally post  blogs because of the fact that most blogsites tend to be very immature and unintelligent on "teh interwebz". I like it here on impulse and in general, I'm sure it has a fairly intelligent and like-minded community of gamers and techies all striving to voice their...
